Our Philosophy...
At our daycare, we believe children are naturally curious, capable, and creative learners. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach philosophy, we provide a nurturing, play-based environment where children learn through exploration, discovery, and meaningful relationships.
We value each child as an individual and recognize that children express themselves in many different ways through art, movement, music, storytelling, building, imaginative play, and hands-on experiences. Our curriculum integrates STEAM learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) into everyday play and inquiry, encouraging children to think critically, solve problems, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
We believe play is the foundation of early childhood education. Through open-ended activities, collaborative projects, sensory experiences, and creative exploration, children develop confidence, independence, social-emotional skills, and a strong sense of belonging.
Our teachers serve as guides and co-learners, carefully observing children’s interests and creating engaging learning opportunities that support growth and development. We foster a warm, inclusive, and respectful environment where families are valued as important partners in each child’s educational journey.

About Us...
Elements of the Mind Educational Academy was founded in October 2025 from a mother’s love, sacrifice, and faith.
As a single Jamaican mother of three beautiful children, I worked three to four jobs just to make ends meet and provide for my family. Like many parents, I carried the responsibility of being the sole provider for my household while trying my best to raise my children with love, structure, and strong values.
Because of my demanding work schedules, my children often stayed with different family members and friends throughout the week. I constantly prayed that every person caring for them would show them the same love, patience, discipline, and values that I wanted for them. It was difficult to maintain consistency when every home had different routines, expectations, and ways of doing things.
Over time, I noticed my children changing depending on the environment they were in each day. The lack of stability became confusing for them, and as a mother, it was heartbreaking to witness. I was working so hard to provide financially, yet I was missing precious milestones, special moments, bedtime prayers, school achievements, and everyday memories that can never be replaced.
There were many nights when I questioned myself and wondered if I had failed my children as a well-rounded mother. Deep in my heart, I knew there had to be a better way not only for my family, but for other families facing the same struggles.
Through prayer, faith, and determination, God placed a vision in my heart to create a safe, loving, structured, and Jesus-centered home daycare where children could feel secure, valued, and consistently cared for. A place where parents could go to work with peace of mind knowing their children were being loved, taught, protected, and guided with strong Christian values.
